Who We Are

Daydream Island Resort was named by a pair of adventurous spirits, Paddy and Connie Murray, after their yacht, Day Dream. In 1931, the Murrays sailed north from Sydney and purchased West Molle Island for just 200 pounds, beginning what would become one of the Whitsundays’ most iconic island destinations. In 2015, CCIG Investments Pty Ltd became the new owners of Daydream Island Resort along with South Molle Island, continuing the legacy and investing in the future of the island as a premier Great Barrier Reef destination.

Resort Access

Ferry Etiquette

Cruise Whitsundays provide Daydream team members with exceptionally discounted fares. Please be respectful of their policies to ensure this privilege is not revoked.

Communication

Uniforms

You are responsible for maintaining your uniform, so keep it in good condition and ready to go. If your uniform needs repair or replacement please see People & Culture. Your name badge is a key part of your uniform and must be worn at all times while on shift. It helps guests connect with you, and importantly, it lets them know exactly who to mention when they have had a great experience. Staff Dining

Money Matters

Absences

We know that sometimes illness or unexpected situations mean you can’t make it to work — and that’s okay. Your wellbeing comes first. To help us keep everything running smoothly, please notify your manager as soon as practical to advise of your absence. Staff Village

Island Activities

Two yellow kayaks near the barge jetty are available for use. Before heading out, ensure the plugs are securely in place to prevent water from entering For safety, lifejackets must be worn at all times. Please also make sure someone on the island is aware of who is going out, where you’re If you do not return at this time, an alarm will be raised.
